LINDA'S BLOG
Welcome! I've been a resident of Todi since 1986 and enjoy sharing my affection for Italy. This is not a diary, however; It's a whimsical distillation of one ex-pat's thoughts and experiences.

Potted Iris

Sorry, not much of a blog today. It's in the 70s and gorgeous and I'm spending the whole day outside. This morning I discovered a little gardening job I had to take care of immediately and one task has led to another.
The "little job" involved rescuing remnants of a bunch of iris tubers that somebody gnawed on during the night. Rita and I had spread them out to dry a bit and either a porcupine or a wild boar found them. Wow! Free food and they didn't even have to dig down to sink their teeth into it.
Years ago I lost nearly all the iris in the garden to marauders and after that the tubers have been unhappily residing in pots. Still, blooms on 50% are better than no blooms at all.
